and I haven't used it yet lol. Maybe its time I changed that.
Once upon a time I loved blogging. I lived to blog. But back in October, my life changed. I suddenly lost interest in almost everything I loved. Ruby's birthday was approaching (I try really hard not to call it her "deathday" but sometimes its hard not to), I'd gained an unsightly amount of weight due to the medication I'm on, I was extremely depressed, all the medical junk was weighing me down, my pain was worse, everything was building and building and I just had a breakdown of sorts you could say.
I was an avid gamer...I'd just gotten the game Aion and was playing both it and WoW (World of Warcraft). I'd played WoW since fall of 2006 and was a die-hard fan of the game. I up and quit both games cold turkey in early October. I'd just gotten a new, awesome gaming PC in September, and I never touched it anymore. What little facebooking I did, I did from my Blackberry phone. I began seeing a neurologist at the VA Hospital in Jackson, and she started me on a new drug for seizures, and while it seems to be helping a LOT, it makes me sleep a LOT also. After I get the kids off to school in the mornings, I go back to bed and sleep til after noon, sometimes until past 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon. I'm in bed around 10:00 at night too.
The only thing I took an interest in for months was Christmas for my kids and Justin. I went all out for them this year. We stuck to our usual three presents for each (like the Wise Men brought to Jesus), but I did my best to make them great gifts, and the kids were thrilled with their Christmas this year.
Now its January, and I'm slowly trying to pull out of this slump. I still can't really take an interest in gaming again...I seem to have lost my love for it completely, but in the past couple weeks I've been able to spend a little more time on the PC. SOOOO I'm going to try to get back into blogging.
We'll see how it goes :)
Oh yeah...while we LOVE Brett Favre...We bleed Black and Gold. GEAUX SAINTS!!!!
